Practicing SonographerRegistered Clinical Technologist, Institute of Physics & Engineering in Medicine
Active member of ISOUG, BMUS and FMF
I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology and have been practicing as a sonographer since 1994 both in private and NHS.
I worked as an autonomous Advanced Practitioner Sonographer at Addenbrookes NHS Trust, Cambridge University Hospitals from 2003 to 2014. Since I left my full-time post with Addenbrookes NHS Trust, I worked as a part-time Locum Sonographer in other NHS hospitals and GP Surgeries around East Anglia, where I practice in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Abdominal ultrasound scanning and teaching student Sonographers.
Since the beginning of Covid 19 Pandemic in March 2020, I left the NHS and decided to work full time at East Anglia Ultrasound to focus on how to deliver the best care to our clients.
With extensive experience in sonography tucked under my belt, I keep myself updated with the latest developments in Abdominal (both in adults and paediatrics including hips), Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Early Pregnancy, 4D scanning in early foetal anomaly and pelvic, the latest technology in Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing and Phlebotomy by attending numerous conferences, symposiums and training across the United Kingdom and abroad. My passion is fetal ultrasonography – an area that requires a great deal of technical skill and compassion when dealing with breaking bad news. However, most of the time it brings a huge amount of joy. Being a mother myself, sharing magical moments with expectant parents is a reward for my job that I would always cherish.
