Musculoskeletal (MSK) scan is a non-invasive imaging for the evaluation of musculoskeletal injuries such as:

  • muscle tears

  • tendon ruptures

  • ligament injuries

  • joint effusion

    It can help identify signs of

  • inflammation

  • synovitis

  • joint damage

    This is also useful to monitor disease progression and response to treatment. Diagnosis of  nerve compression syndromes, such as carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome and guide treatment decisions. 

    Evaluate soft tissue masses, such as ganglion cysts, lipomas, or soft tissue tumours, determination of size, location, and characteristics of the masses in order to guide decisions regarding further imaging or biopsy.

    This is to monitor the healing process of musculoskeletal injuries , such as muscle strains or tendon injuries. Furthermore, this can provide real-time imaging of the healing tissue, allowing for early detection of complications or delays in healing.

After the scan , your specialist sonographer will explain the findings and will send you an official digital medical report which you can forward to your doctor or practitioner for fast-track your referral and treatment.
